Q – Could you tell us how you, as UC-EL Rubber Automotive Parts Ind.Ltd. started in the automotive industry and your progress within this period?
H.O. – Established in 1980 in Bursa, UC-EL Rubber Automotive Parts Ind.Ltd. became a leading player in the sector in a short time as a result of the value given to its customers and products.
Attending the international automotive fairs, share of export in total sales has been increasing since 1999. Today UC-EL products are sold over 40 countries all around the world.
Keeping the good position in the aftermarket sector, next step will be supplying for OE in Turkiye and in Europe.

Q – There is a serious competition in rubber-metal spare parts. How do you evaluate the sector across the world?
Do you believe that your products get internationally worth they deserve?
H.O. – There is strong competiton in all around the world due to decreasing purchasing power in many countries and increasing production capacity. This leads a pressure of decreasing the prices for the companies. We give big importance to continuous improvement of human sources and quality production, which helps us to differentiate in the market.

Q – Exhibitions become meeting places for companies, only to keep and strenghten their prestigious places and to maintain their customers. What is your point of view regarding the exhibitions?
H.O. – Fairs are still important for our company. Even tough communication skills have improved very fast, we believe in direct relation with people. So we regulary attend Automechanika İstanbul and Frankfurt fairs

Q – Could you tell us about R&D investments and new projects?
H.O. – We have a R&D department at UC-EL which is responsible for improvement of quality. We have 2 projects in 2014 for life test machines and for efficieny in production.

Q – Could you evaluate 2013 for UC-EL ? What are your plans for 2014?
H.O. – In spite of the global crisis since few years our export market has grown.
In our mid term plans we are focusing on new markets and aiming to exist in over 50 countries.
