Q – ECS ELEKTRİK achieves some great success in the automotive industry as it is always renewed and follows closely cutting edge technology. Could you brief us on the company’s foundation and development?
We established it in the late of 1997. The company based on customer continuity manufactures on international standards and carries out its operations in confidence and thrill with up to 150 staff by gaining new accomplishments every year. We offer service to customers in three different product ranges: Wire Harness, Battery Cable Set and Cable. When our production capability is considered, we can make all cabling project of a vehicle as well as wire harness for electrically operated mirror, automatic doors, interior and exterior lighting groups. We manufacture also cables under the trade mark of “Kablem” in our own facilities for automotive, construction, data, LAN, control, communication, fire and safety systems, according to the ISO 6722 and TSE 1435.
Q – There is inevitable competition in many product ranges of automotive and sub-industry. Now it is getting easy to find alternative manufacturers both in domestic and global markets. But ECS ELEKTRİK is one of counted companies achieving a certain quality level on it. How do you evaluate domestic and international markets?
Manufacturers in group of commercial vehicles in Turkey are in search of a new supplier. The fact that existing suppliers lose their flexibilities and sense of belonging help companies like us stand out at the market. We see this situation as an opportunity for our company. We see as a great opportunity to be used the fact that rivals in the global markets operate on sectoral basis and there are no proper structures to product range. We work very hard to realize strategies we set in order to use these opportunities we face. If need to sum up, I believe that we can utilize opportunities we find on achieving aims we set for 2017 thanks to our experience of 17 years and investments on human, system and machines for the last two year.
Q – Projects and works the company carries out are perpetually observed and in result of this observation, ECS ELEKTRİK received some awards due to its success. Could tell us about these awards?
We launched 12K Model project (mixing EFQM and simple production) organized by TAYSAD (Association of Automotive Parts & Components Manufacturers) and DTM (Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade) in 2011 in order to improve the quality of service and to build our structure on solid basis for corporate transformation and completed it in 2013.
Completing structural changes we designed to be built on corporate structure through the project, we arranged the company’s Strategical Plan till 2017 and we continue to be on track as per our goals by following annually the strategical planning. Moreover, in the framework of this project, we formed a proprietary EPS (ECS Production System) model and ensured sustainability of services as open to improvement, setting standards for them.
We received three different awards which our staff’s efforts are crowned during this period.

Again in a result of these efforts, we ranked in the top 100 among Turkey’s fastest growing companies this year, thus we deserved the award from The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and we had opportunity to announce result of this change at national level.
In addition to these, I care highly about our support to women employment for our city and country even though we don’t get any award for it. I can proudly say that 80 percent of staff are women
Q – Today elements such as product presentation and after-sales service are as important as quality of a supplied product for choices of companies. We want to learn ECS ELEKTRİK’s works on this direction.
Now we know that customers want to work with suppliers who not only manufacture but also take responsibility at stage of design and guide on technical issues. Product design should ensure simplicity and productivity at company’s own assembly line. I can confirm that we have a structure to address demands in this direction. Any intervention on product after sale should be with certain methods and equipments, so we start works in order to offer new service to customers on it. It will be first in the market.
Q – What are your estimations about ECS ELEKTRİK’s 2014 performance? Do you have any new plans, projects and are there new exhibitions you will participate in?
We target a turnover of $50 million for 2017 and this year will be important step to reach this goal. We have a growth target of 70 percent for 2014. We started works in the last year to achieve our target. We hope that we can catch easily the growth rate thanks to new cable products and by making a foray into new sector related to wiring. We will participate in IZB-Wolfsburg, ELECTRONICA-Munich IAA-Hannover, WIRE-Duseldorf in 2014. I think they will help us reach 2015 and 2016 turnover targets.
